Cali is a 12 inch custom cutie with hazel eyes and batting eyelashes. She's just a little bit country and a little bit rock n' roll. She insisted on dyeing a strip of her hair her favorite color -- pink. And she can't go anywhere without her favorite pair of crocheted cowboy boots.

I made this dolly for a winter swap I did with a few other lovely doll makers. She is based on the character from the Russian folk tale Father Frost. She is a sweet girl but mistreated by her step-mom and step-sister. One day she's is sent out on an errand into the snowy woods by her step-mother and sister. She comes across an old man and is nice to him. He turns out to be Father Frost. He gives her treasures including her first fancy dress and shawl (seen in the pic). Now she's on her way to her new family where she'll be loved. ♥
